Back to school

last week schools have opened for the new year. 
I have always loved this period of the year when I was a child, to me it meant
new pens, colors, backpack and brand new notebooks and diary to be filled 
with moments and friends.

blue, bold and bright

I really love when illustrations are fulfilled of details, they attract your attention and take you inside their world. I talked about this some time ago, if you want you can read here the older post titled exactly life is in details.

at the same time I think that it’s stunning when illustrations with just two colors and few lines can create a feeling. I’m charmed by these mix between illustration and graphic design.
plain colors and the right arrangement in the empty space can say a lot and can make you create your own story instead of following one.

sato kanae is a japanese illustrator and her pieces are bright, bold, adorable, incredibly eye catching, I can’t stop pinning them! and I totally love the little blue dressed girl making a bow…

throwback color: blue

throwback color, in other words the current color some time ago.

I take the picture almost an year ago, it was november and my little prillis 
was 1 year old. she still love to draw and color everything, not only her play mat,
but also walls, floors, toys and luckily her drawing books!

Feeling sleepy…

after a night passed out cuddling and rocking and singing lullabies, [these damn canines do not want to come out…] you go on all day yawning and waiting for the evening to come…

but days are so long when you are tired… thank gods today is a sunny day! and canines are the last step of teething!! yay!

september is here at last…
like every year, summer is gone so fast, but what I love about the end of summer is the new beginning: once was the new year at school, now is new planning, new projects ready to fly, brand new ideas and positive energies to spend. [and new clothes for me and my little one!] [and gym… of course…]

Wall of cactus

summer should be just round the corner but this rain seems it will never stop…
my cacti [yes I have some…] are suffering for cold and humidity… surely they
will love to be in one of these beautiful desert illustrations on my wall of frames.

feeling grateful

ieri era il mio 34esimo compleanno e guardando le foto deli ultimi due anni 

mi sono sentita grata per la mia vita felice, la mia famiglia, le vacanze intorno 

al mondo, il lavoro e tutto quello che ho avuto fino a oggi.

non so se sia il karma, il destino o chissà quale divinità, ma so che se guardi 

il mondo sorridendo allora il mondo ti sorriderà.

last weekend we went to a wedding. the dress code was pale-pink and I bought a
oh-so-beautifull long skirt by brunello cucinelli [3.] paired with an identical pink
sequin top by alberta ferretti I had in my wardrobe.

I thought I had found the perfect match… until I discovered the bride was dressed
very similar to me so I had to find a top that stands out at all. and I found it! [1.]

Puzzenda, the fairytale

oggi voglio condividere con voi la favola che ho scritto per la mia curiosetta.

si intitola Puzzenda e nonostante le tante varianti dovute alle evenienze
della serata o del momento, racconta più o meno questo:

      c’era una principessa che quando doveva dormire piangeva strillava e puzzava, 
      puzzava così tanto che tutti cominciarono a chiamarla principessa puzzenda. 
      
      dal castello scapparono tutti, anche gli animali, compresi i cagnolini. 
      
      l’unico cagnolino che non scappò fu il cane della principessa che dormiva 
      fedelmente ogni sera sotto il suo lettino. la mamma la cullava tutte le sere ma 
      la puzza aumentava di giorno in giorno e una sera, sfinita, chiese aiuto al papà 
      che trovò una magnifica soluzione… 

però non posso già accontarvi come va a finire! vi lascio un po’ li sulle spine.
vi vedo che soffrite già, curiosetti!! ;-)

a coloring gift

siccome ieri siete diventati tutti matti per la parola petaloso, ho deciso di farvi 

un regalo #petaloso, ma anche un po’ foglioso… e per di più alla moda visto
che ora i libri da colorare sono il nuovo antistress per adulti!

feeling chewy

ci sono quei giorni in cui l’unica cosa che vorresti fare è stare sul divano sotto 

la coperta, con una scatola di biscotti al cioccolato [non importa quali, basta 
che abbiano tanto cioccolato] e un bicchiere di latte caldo in cui inzupparli.
e poi c’è la vita vera. e fai la paleo.

l’amore dei gesti, delle parole che scandiscono le nostre giornate. 

il buongiorno pronunciato al mattino nel lettone, che riceve in risposta 

il sorriso più dolce del mondo, con gli occhi ancora assonnati e le braccia protese 

a cercare l’abbraccio della mamma; quando dico andiamo! e la sciri piri sa che 

stiamo per uscire a giocare con la pallina e diventa matta dalla felicità; quando 

altea stringe le sue piccole braccia intorno al tuo collo e il tuo cuore si scioglie… 

e vorresti che non smettesse mai; non vedere l’ora che pi arrivi a casa la sera; 

andare a letto ogni sera e addormentarsi abbracciati; svegliarti di notte e andare 

a prendere la tua bambina per portartela nel lettone perché ti manca già…

feeling on the move

we are moving! well… pi is moving for us…

and our little fish is moving happily by herself all day long… maybe to help her daddy…

in a couple of week we will make a little step in our new life… 

and in our new beautiful home! yeeee!!
