blue, bold and bright

I really love when illustrations are fulfilled of details, they attract your attention and take you inside their world. I talked about this some time ago, if you want you can read here the older post titled exactly life is in details.

at the same time I think that it’s stunning when illustrations with just two colors and few lines can create a feeling. I’m charmed by these mix between illustration and graphic design.
plain colors and the right arrangement in the empty space can say a lot and can make you create your own story instead of following one.

sato kanae is a japanese illustrator and her pieces are bright, bold, adorable, incredibly eye catching, I can’t stop pinning them! and I totally love the little blue dressed girl making a bow…

Picnic essentials

the weekend is coming, beaches are crowded, lakes shores are infested 
by mosquitos… so, what’s better than a picnic to spend your day off?
good food, the shadow of a tree and why not? you could also get a tan.

Puzzenda, the fairytale

oggi voglio condividere con voi la favola che ho scritto per la mia curiosetta.

si intitola Puzzenda e nonostante le tante varianti dovute alle evenienze
della serata o del momento, racconta più o meno questo:

      c’era una principessa che quando doveva dormire piangeva strillava e puzzava, 
      puzzava così tanto che tutti cominciarono a chiamarla principessa puzzenda. 
      
      dal castello scapparono tutti, anche gli animali, compresi i cagnolini. 
      
      l’unico cagnolino che non scappò fu il cane della principessa che dormiva 
      fedelmente ogni sera sotto il suo lettino. la mamma la cullava tutte le sere ma 
      la puzza aumentava di giorno in giorno e una sera, sfinita, chiese aiuto al papà 
      che trovò una magnifica soluzione… 

però non posso già accontarvi come va a finire! vi lascio un po’ li sulle spine.
vi vedo che soffrite già, curiosetti!! ;-)
