oggi a milano, a Palazzo Reale, è iniziata la mostra hokusai, hiroshige, utamaro.
stavo cercando un’immagine su internet per fare un post a riguardo [prima di farmi 
venire in mente che proprio sul sito della mostra avrei potuto trovare tutte le immagini 
che mi servivano] ho googlato great wave hokusai ed ecco: l’immagine qui sopra,
la grande onda invasa dai pokemon, è una delle prime cose che mi è uscita.

Back to school

last week schools have opened for the new year. 
I have always loved this period of the year when I was a child, to me it meant
new pens, colors, backpack and brand new notebooks and diary to be filled 
with moments and friends.

astronomi per una notte

ho una passione per il cielo stellato e tutto ciò che è legato alle stelle, le mappe stellari, le costellazioni, gli oroscopi, gli alieni [yes I want to believe!] gli effetti della luna sul nostro pianeta e sulla nostra anima… insomma, mi piace stare con il naso all’insù, a osservare.

ready for xmas?!

I know it’s september, I’m not gone mad, but if you want to buy handmade for xmas, you should start thinking about what you would like to give, handmade is not ready made, it has some time to be realized, moreover if you want a personalized and one of a kind present to make your lovely ones happily surprised.

blue, bold and bright

I really love when illustrations are fulfilled of details, they attract your attention and take you inside their world. I talked about this some time ago, if you want you can read here the older post titled exactly life is in details.

at the same time I think that it’s stunning when illustrations with just two colors and few lines can create a feeling. I’m charmed by these mix between illustration and graphic design.
plain colors and the right arrangement in the empty space can say a lot and can make you create your own story instead of following one.

sato kanae is a japanese illustrator and her pieces are bright, bold, adorable, incredibly eye catching, I can’t stop pinning them! and I totally love the little blue dressed girl making a bow…

throwback color: blue

throwback color, in other words the current color some time ago.

I take the picture almost an year ago, it was november and my little prillis 
was 1 year old. she still love to draw and color everything, not only her play mat,
but also walls, floors, toys and luckily her drawing books!

a splash of relax

actually, I do not really love having bath…

but images of people having bath are always so relaxing and calm. you can hear the silence, that no-sound you hear when you submerge your ears in the water. the idea of bath itself is tempting, but then, when you are in the water, it’s not so comfortable, don’t you think?

Feeling sleepy…

after a night passed out cuddling and rocking and singing lullabies, [these damn canines do not want to come out…] you go on all day yawning and waiting for the evening to come…

but days are so long when you are tired… thank gods today is a sunny day! and canines are the last step of teething!! yay!

questo caldo non accenna a voler diminuire…

il vento fresco in realtà ci illude e ci inganna, appena smette di soffiare il sole diventa ancora più incandescente… 

si fa quel che si può, tra la voglia di comprare nuove cose per l’autunno, i gelati che si sciolgono prima di riuscire a finire di mangiarli, la piscina della prilli che rinfresca le giornate [le sue, mentre io e la sciré stiamo a guardarla sguazzare nell’acqua con invidia], gli allenamenti la mattina presto e l’asilo, che finalmente è ricominciato e mi concede qualche ora per dedicarmi al mio amato lavoro!

september is here at last…
like every year, summer is gone so fast, but what I love about the end of summer is the new beginning: once was the new year at school, now is new planning, new projects ready to fly, brand new ideas and positive energies to spend. [and new clothes for me and my little one!] [and gym… of course…]

dove men+care cup 2010

hallo curious people!

today another page from my portfolio. this time we talk about a big event to promote
the release of a new line of products for men, signed dove.
The customer asked us to identify a target in order to enter a slice of growing market,
products for men. we plan a brand activation, to engage the target audience and
explain the brand philosophy, not just verbally but… on the ground: a national 
football championship, in collaboration with la gazzetta dello sport.

still talking about stars… look at these incredible photographs taken by hubble 

telescope! seems to be painted! but this is what happens millions light years away 

from us, around our planet, just over our heads… simply amazing! even if all that 

empty dark space is really distressing to me… you know… that agonizing sensation 

of being so little and so alone in this big universe… it make me feel lost…

when the night comes…

we look at the stars! we, dreamers…

I love when the night sky is so clear you could see all the stars, especially in summer,
when you could stay outside and admire the cosmic sight! I have always had a
curiousity about stars, moon, and planets… and one xmas I received a beautiful
telescope! what a great present! every child should have one, to learn to dream!
curiosity, not only about astronomy but also astrology…

I liked it!! well, I’m still trying to understand what to do with it and all its #…
but the best thing of all is that… I’m following people from far away worlds,
even from fairytale world! [or is it maine?]
